About The Position

The Sales Floor Department Supervisor leads and enables associates to deliver a strong customer experience. The role includes coaching and training, delegating and following up on daily tasks, managing performance, and ensuring adequate department coverage. Supervisors support customer-facing sales and service, as well as non-customer-facing work such as down stocking, inventory management, and area recovery. They also help maintain store safety by conducting safety walks, reporting hazards, and reinforcing safe work and lifting practices. The supervisor works with store leaders to identify effective approaches for meeting sales and service objectives and communicates those practices to the team. The role may require supervising associates in other departments, so broad product knowledge and the ability to engage customers and associates across departments are important. The supervisor communicates concerns, issues, praise, and morale updates to management. They may occasionally open or close the store or serve as manager-on-duty. Regular travel is not required, though occasional travel to meetings, trainings, or neighboring stores may be needed.
