About The Position

The Sales Executive is responsible for achieving or exceeding sales objectives in their assigned territory by growing new business and expanding relationships within existing accounts. This is a field-based role that emphasizes time spent in schools and districts, building strong partnerships with educators and administrators, and driving consistent revenue growth.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of sales experience with demonstrated success selling curriculum, educational programs, or education technology solutions.
  • Experience selling into K–12 public, private, or charter school systems.
  • Proven track record of building new business, expanding existing accounts, and consistently meeting or exceeding quota.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills; confident presenting to both small groups and large audiences.
  • Ability to prospect effectively, build a robust pipeline, and move opportunities through the full sales cycle.
  • Comfortable working independently in a field-based role with remote management.
  • Proficient in CRM and technology tools to support sales effectiveness (experience with Salesforce preferred).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to balance multiple priorities.
  • Self-starter with a passion for improving student outcomes and supporting educators.
  • Ability to travel up to 80% of working time, with some evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Mastering expertise in Learning Without Tears (LWT) curricula, programs, and products, both print and digital.
  • Driving new business growth by identifying and cultivating prospective districts and schools.
  • Expanding existing relationships through upselling, cross-selling, and multi-school/district penetration.
  • Developing and executing a territory growth plan that includes school visits, presentations, regional events, conferences, and personalized outreach.
  • Partnering with others across the organization to strengthen retention, support adoption, and drive expansion.
  • Building and maintaining a balanced pipeline and being accountable to consistent activity and pipeline metrics.
  • Identifying district and state-level trends to uncover opportunities and minimize risks.
  • Providing feedback to marketing and product teams to align market needs with LWT solutions.
  • Delivering engaging, professional presentations to educators and administrators, adapting messaging to audience needs.
  • Actively participating in team meetings, training, and company events.
