About The Position

Tradin Organic is a global leader in organic, plant-based ingredients with over 30 years of industry experience, offering a full-service portfolio built on unique sourcing, sustainability initiatives, and integrated processing and distribution. Their product range includes cocoa, sugars and sweeteners, nuts, seeds and pulses, plant-based oils and fats, dried fruits, and fruit and vegetable purées and concentrates. The company operates in 19 countries, sourcing from over 300,000 farmers and offering over 200 organic ingredients. Headquartered in Amsterdam with a U.S. office in Aptos, California, Tradin Organic is part of Amsterdam Commodities N.V. (Acomo). The US team is seeking a remote Sales Executive to join their F&V Desk Team. This role is responsible for driving sales and profitability in line with the strategic plan, managing procurement and sales to the customer base, ensuring quality of sourcing and sales, customer satisfaction, opportunity and risk assessment, departmental improvements, and information exchange with other sales and commercial team members.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in sales, international trade, or a comparable function
  • Must possess a strong working knowledge of the import/export environment
  • Successful customer service experience
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems
  • Proficiency with MS Office
  • Proven communication skills – verbal and written
  • Successful experience finding prospects, turning prospects into leads, and leads into customers' preferred
  • Demonstrated experience building rapport with customers and curating durable relationships
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Thrives working in ambiguous situations
  • Ability to solve challenging problems
  • Prioritize and meet deadlines
  • Work with minimal direction

  • BA Business Management, Marketing, International Trade, Agriculture, or related field a plus

Responsibilities

  • Suggest new trade opportunities and product development
  • Keeps track of international market developments
  • Keeps track of the results and suggests corrective action plans
  • Assessing customer payment risks
  • Ensure optimal customer satisfaction
  • Responsible for handling product complaints from customers
  • Define all quality aspects towards all product providers and customers (either when buying/selling on a contract basis or otherwise)
  • Follows the product specifications as defined by the quality department and adheres to instructions specified by the QA Manager
  • All other duties as assigned
  • Ensures all suppliers meet supplier approval with the Quality Assurance Manager
  • Ensures effective safety procedures, tools, and record-keeping are managed through site leadership
  • Adheres to company GMP’s (good manufacturing practices), safety procedures, and all other quality processes
  • Wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) when required
