About The Position

Medical Diagnostic Laboratories (MDL), a member of Genesis Global Group, is a CLIA certified clinical laboratory specializing in state-of-the-art, automated DNA based molecular analysis for chronic and infectious illnesses. MDL focuses on Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) with a broad menu of testing in infectious diseases, gynecology, infectious arthritis, tick-borne diseases, mycology, and chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS). MDL is expanding its sales force across the U.S. and is seeking a high-energy, self-motivated Entry-Level Sales Executive to maintain and grow a client base of hospital and physician customers.

Requirements

  • Well-developed multi-tasking, organizational skills, and detail orientation.
  • Energy, motivation, enthusiasm, and integrity.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making ability.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office, Excel, e-mail, and internet functions.
  • Ability to travel within the coverage area and occasionally nationwide.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 to 3 years of experience is preferred.
  • A bachelor's degree, or two years sales experience, or any similar combination of education and experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve annual sales and profit objectives for a defined territory.
  • Obtain new business and exceed annual territory sales budget by presenting new test information, up-selling, and seeking new revenue sources.
  • Develop and present personalized sales presentations to professional audiences (physicians, laboratory staff, clinics, group practices) demonstrating the benefits of MDL's services.
  • Establish positive long-term client relations through scheduled calls.
  • Develop and maintain a full business pipeline of prospective clients and manage assigned geographic territory.
  • Provide timely and accurate reporting of pipeline, account plans, and territory management activities.
  • Collaborate with the Regional Manager to develop the assigned territory in line with company objectives.
  • Maintain knowledge of competitors and their presence in the assigned territory.
