About The Position

The Sales Executive – Field Evaluations is responsible for both global and domestic field evaluation sales to expand SGS brand awareness within the field evaluation industry for the North American division of Connectivity. This role is responsible for generating and closing leads and opportunities within strategic business units (SBUs) for global and domestic accounts, in accordance with SGS sales strategies and individual targets. The position requires building and maintaining effective and professional relationships with key internal customers and support teams, including client services, global sales, technical and operations. The Sales Executive will execute sales and offer solutions to US-based customers for domestic opportunities, develop and issue quotations and proposals, and negotiate fees, terms, and conditions. They will also secure appropriate legal documents for client relationships, develop and execute sales presentations, and present delivery capabilities to clients. Administrative functions include preparing call reports, pre- and post- tradeshow reports, sales reports, and maintaining data in the Customer Platform SharePoint site. The role involves working closely with the business unit manager on RFPs, attending industry organization events, and maintaining knowledge of the SGS Group network and services. The Sales Executive must promote the image, capability, and integrity of SGS, adhere to health and safety rules, and comply with the SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or equivalent (preferred)
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in sales / account management within client service industry (Required)
  • 2+ years of experience in the industry for the relevant business unit (Field Evaluations)
  • English Basic level of knowledge required
  • Intermediate level reasoning skills/abilities required
  • MS Office Suite – Basic user proficiency preferred
  • Ability to work in team environment and maintain professional behavior
  • Strong client engagement skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Generating and closing leads and opportunities within strategic business units (SBUs) for global and domestic accounts, in accordance with SGS sales strategies and individual targets.
  • Building and maintaining effective and professional relationships and close cooperation with key internal customers and support teams, including client services, global sales, technical and operations.
  • Executing sales and offers solutions to US-based customers for domestic opportunities.
  • Developing and issuing quotations and proposals, negotiating fees, terms and conditions as necessary.
  • Securing appropriate legal documents for client relationships, including non-disclosure agreements, service agreements.
  • Developing and executing sales presentations for clients consistent with the sales and marketing strategies.
  • Presenting to clients regarding our delivery capabilities.
  • Performing key sales administrative functions preparing call reports, pre- and post- tradeshow reports, sales reports, maintenance of all data in Customer Platform SharePoint site, and other reports/presentations as may be required by management.
  • Working closely with the business unit manager when responding to a request for proposal response (RFP) to inform them of market conditions, pricing issues and the current competition on the program.
  • Attending and contributing to field evaluation supported organizations such as IAEI, ICC, NFPA, NEMA, etc.
  • Maintaining knowledge of the SGS Group network and services.
  • Actively promoting the image, capability and integrity of SGS to the account.
  • Adopting a safe behavior by exercising applicable health and safety rules and regulations of SGS employees and clients, in line with SGS policies and procedures.
