Join our Connected Technology Sales Team as a Sales Executive (Remote) responsible for leading sales activities for Testing & Certification services across our Consumer Technology customer base in the North of the UK. We are looking for a true new business sales person, who brings high-energy, is results-driven and customer focused. Requirements

  • Demonstrated working experience in sales (preferably field/direct sales) with a strong "hunter" or new business background
  • Ideally sales experience gained in the TIC (Testing, Inspection & Certification) field or within Consumer Technology (Connected Tech) industries
  • Proven ability to manage and sell into large, diverse accounts, both individually and with the assistance of supporting personnel.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools.
  • Open-minded, commercial person who enjoys traveling and is well-organized.
  • Available to travel to clients (25%-50% of the time).

Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation & Prospecting: proactively identifying and researching potential new clients through cold calling, networking, and social selling (e.g., LinkedIn).
  • Discovery & Qualification: conducting initial meetings to uncover prospect "pain points" and determining if they have the budget and authority to buy.
  • Negotiation & Closing: managing objections, finalizing pricing and terms, and securing the signed contract to meet monthly or quarterly revenue targets.
  • Pipeline Management: maintaining accurate records in a CRM to track progress and provide accurate sales forecasts.
  • Connecting with customers Face-to-Face and remotely (video, phone, email) to discuss their needs and provide best solutions and sell UL's TIC services.
  • Driving sales process from beginning to end, leveraging support from Sales Support Specialists and Inside Sales Executives when/if necessary.
  • Following up with customers to ensure renewal of services where applicable and spotting opportunities to sell specialty product / services.
  • Leveraging technical support (engineers) when customer has a qualified need.
  • Bringing in additional resources when advantageous to support sales process, and delegate leadership of the sale to Technical Inside Sales Executives for highly technical or specialized products / services.
