About The Position

GDIT’s 10-week Summer Internship Program gives interns the opportunity to work alongside sales engineers, business development executives, and solution architects on federal pursuits. Interns collaborate with peers to research and propose solutions to business challenges, take part in a mentoring circle led by an early-career champion, interact with GDIT leaders, and participate in professional development. The intern joins the Sales Enablement team in the FedCiv Growth organization, supporting federal civilian agencies with possibilities in data, AI, cybersecurity, and IT modernization. The role is intended for computer science and engineering students interested in how technology is presented and sold. Interns use AI-assisted development, rapid prototyping, low-code platforms, and other tools to create working demonstrations from customer mission problems, and help the business development team communicate those solutions. The internship offers portfolio-ready demos, customer-facing experience, and exposure to the federal market. No prior sales experience is required. The position is hybrid in the Falls Church, Virginia/Washington, DC metro area, with some on-site demonstrations and customer meetings. Interns are paid and work 40 hours per week for 10 consecutive weeks. The likely hourly rate is $25.50–$34.50, depending on experience, location, and potentially contractual requirements; the stated range is not a guarantee.
