About The Position

GDIT’s 10-week Summer Internship Program gives interns the opportunity to work alongside sales engineers, business development executives, and solution architects on federal pursuits. Interns collaborate with peers to research and propose solutions to business challenges, participate in mentoring and professional development, and interact with GDIT leaders. The Sales Engineering Intern joins the Sales Enablement team in the FedCiv Growth organization. The role is intended for computer science and engineering students interested in how technology is presented and sold. The intern uses AI-assisted development, rapid prototyping, low-code platforms, and other tools to turn customer mission problems into working demonstrations, then helps the business development team communicate the solution. The internship offers opportunities to build portfolio demos, gain customer-facing experience, and learn about the federal market. No sales experience is needed. The position is hybrid in the Falls Church, Virginia / Washington, DC metro area, with some on-site demonstration events and customer meetings. It is paid, 40 hours per week, for 10 consecutive weeks. The likely hourly rate is $25.50–$34.50, though actual compensation may vary based on experience, location, and contractual requirements.
