About The Position

The Sales Engineer, Expanded Waste Services is the technical partner who turns waste data, site conditions, and client needs into practical solutions that properties can execute. Reporting to the Vice President, Expanded Waste Services, this role partners with field sales and works directly with clients to lead technical conversations. It translates waste bill audits and site analyses into property- and portfolio-level recommendations, demonstrates savings, and equips sellers to present solutions confidently. This cross-functional role moves between customer conversations, site walks, cost models, technology, and operational details. It works closely with Operations, Commercial Operations, Pricing, IT, and Product, while bringing emerging customer needs back into the service offering. The position is remote, with travel up to 50%. The listed salary range is $95,000–$115,000, with a 10% bonus. The role develops and communicates waste-stream solutions that are operationally feasible, financially supported, and tailored to property and portfolio conditions. It supports complex proposals and enterprise opportunities, validates projected savings, assists with pilots and post-implementation reviews, coaches the sales team, and ensures a strong technical handoff to implementation and field operations. It also identifies emerging customer needs and provides roadmap input to Product, Operations, and Expanded Waste Services leadership. The position primarily involves sitting or standing while working on a computer. Periodic property site visits involve walking exterior grounds, trash enclosures, and compactor areas in varying weather conditions. A bachelor’s degree is preferred; equivalent experience is considered. The role requires a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and ability to travel up to 50%.
