About The Position

We’re hiring a Sales Engineer to support our go-to-market team across Texas. You’ll work alongside Account Executives to run technical discovery, deliver tailored demos, and execute proof of value engagements that connect security workflows to real outcomes. This role is a great fit for someone with hands-on experience in Attack Surface Management / Exposure Management, or adjacent experience in Vulnerability Management or Threat Intelligence, who wants to grow in a customer-facing role with strong enablement and mentorship.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years in a customer-facing technical role (Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Security Consultant, Solutions Architect, Implementation Engineer, SOC-facing technical role with customer interaction).
  • Practical experience in at least one of the following: Attack Surface Management / External Exposure Management (preferred), Vulnerability Management (scanning, triage, remediation workflows, CVE basics), and/or Threat Intelligence (collection, enrichment, operationalizing intel in SecOps).
  • Comfortable presenting and explaining technical concepts clearly to mixed audiences.
  • Solid fundamentals in modern enterprise environments (cloud + SaaS + internet-facing services).
  • Texas (Austin, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston) or Remote within Texas.
  • 25-40% Travel

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with common security tools and ecosystems (SIEM, SOAR, EDR/XDR, vuln scanners, ticketing).
  • Comfort with APIs and light scripting (Python preferred) for demos, integrations, or workflow automation.
  • Understanding of attacker tradecraft concepts and how defenders prioritize risk.
  • Security or cloud certifications (nice, not required).

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales to run technical discovery, understand requirements, and map use cases to outcomes.
  • Design and deliver product demos and technical briefings for technical and executive audiences.
  • Support and help lead proof of value / POC engagements including setup, testing, troubleshooting, and success criteria.
  • Help customers operationalize outcomes in areas like: external attack surface visibility and exposure reduction, vulnerability prioritization and remediation workflows, and threat intelligence context for risk decisions.
  • Assist with integrations and common workflows (APIs, security tooling, reporting) during evaluations.
  • Learn to handle competitive conversations with credibility and clear differentiation.
  • Bring field feedback back to product and internal teams to improve the platform, messaging, and enablement.
  • Stay current on security trends that affect customers and how they evaluate solutions.
