About The Position

D2B Groups is seeking a dedicated Sales Engineer specializing in Backup Power Generators to join their client's team. This role involves driving sales growth by identifying opportunities and providing technical expertise in the backup power generation market. The Sales Engineer will collaborate with consulting engineers, contractors, and end users to promote and specify backup power generator solutions, develop and present proposals, conduct product demonstrations, and ensure successful project implementation. The position requires a strong understanding of power generation systems, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build lasting relationships with clients and partners.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of sales engineering experience in the backup power generation or related industries
  • Technical knowledge of backup power generators, including diesel and natural gas systems
  • Experience working with consulting engineers, contractors, and end users
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in preparing technical proposals and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability and willingness to travel as required for client meetings, site visits, and industry events

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or related field)
