About The Position

In this role, you will act as a technical authority and trusted advisor, supporting complex sales cycles for advanced energy and grid solutions. You will lead technical discovery, shape solution design, and ensure accurate positioning throughout the commercial process. Working closely with partnerships, product, engineering, and customer success teams, you will bridge technical requirements with real-world deployment. You will engage directly with utilities and strategic partners, translating complex concepts into clear, actionable insights. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in sales engineering, solutions architecture, technical consulting, or related roles.
  • Proven experience supporting complex B2B sales cycles with strong cross-functional collaboration.
  • Background working with utilities, grid-edge technologies, or large-scale energy programs.
  • Solid understanding of demand response, load flexibility, and/or virtual power plant concepts.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions, influence stakeholders, and drive alignment across diverse teams.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with DERMS platforms and utility implementation partners is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical counterpart to sales and partnerships teams, leading discovery sessions and supporting customer-facing engagements.
  • Translate utility and partner requirements into clear technical solutions, validating feasibility, scope, and design.
  • Support proposal development and statements of work by reviewing technical assumptions and ensuring solution accuracy.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert in discussions with utilities, engineers, planners, and implementation partners.
  • Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Validate alignment between commercial commitments, operational capabilities, and measurement and verification requirements.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, analytics, and marketing teams to stay aligned on capabilities, roadmap, and messaging.
  • Enable smooth handoffs to customer success and delivery teams by providing documentation, context, and technical clarity.
  • Contribute market feedback to support continuous product and solution improvements.
