About The Position

We are partnering with a global aerospace communications provider to identify a Sales Director focused on connectivity solutions for Special Mission Aircraft. This role is responsible for developing and winning new business across the United States within the satellite communications (SATCOM) domain, supporting missions such as ISR, aerial firefighting, MEDEVAC, SAR, law enforcement, and other government aviation operations. This is a strategic growth area for the organization, and the ideal candidate will bring a strong track record of generating new revenue, building relationships with mission‑focused operators, and driving adoption of advanced airborne connectivity solutions.

Requirements

  • 7 to 12 years of B2B or B2G sales experience in aerospace, avionics, or related technology fields
  • 5 to 7 years of experience supporting or selling into the Special Mission Aircraft ecosystem
  • Ability to travel up to 50 percent
  • Strong communication, presentation, and relationship‑building skills
  • Proven ability to develop proposals and negotiate complex commercial agreements
  • High level of organization, analytical capability, and business acumen
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Nice To Haves

  • Established network within Special Mission Aircraft operators, OEMs, or integrators
  • Experience in military or commercial SATCOM solutions
  • Experience supporting aircraft modifications, upgrades, or integration programs
  • Prior military service is a plus
  • Ability to make effective decisions in fast‑moving environments
  • Comfortable balancing tactical execution with long‑term strategic positioning

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a US go‑to‑market strategy for SATCOM equipment, services, and integrated connectivity solutions for Special Mission Aircraft
  • Build, manage, and convert a pipeline of near‑ to mid‑term opportunities aligned with revenue targets
  • Lead customer engagements, including on‑site demonstrations in partnership with pre‑sales engineering teams
  • Create innovative, commercially competitive proposals and support pricing strategy
  • Collaborate with engineering, product, marketing, and finance teams to shape customer solutions
  • Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to expand market presence
  • Maintain accurate CRM data and provide regular pipeline and forecast updates
  • Operate independently while maintaining strong communication with leadership and cross‑functional teams
