About The Position

proteanTecs is a game-changing startup that provides visibility into next-gen chips while they are operating, leveraging on-chip monitoring, machine learning, and data analytics. The company's solutions are used by industry leaders in data centers, automotive, communications, and consumer devices. They are seeking an experienced and strategic Sales manager to join their team in the USA. This customer-facing role involves leading and coordinating sales and field AE resources, facilitating customer interaction with proteanTecs Product Marketing/Engineering, understanding core technology requirements in digital implementation and/or IP space, and coordinating sales strategies across worldwide customer operations. The position also entails leading pre/post-sales campaigns, managing and growing solution adoption in the territory for proteanTecs IP and solution platform, fostering customer relationships at all levels, and ensuring roadmap alignment for long-term success.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of strategic sales experience in the semiconductor industry or a closely related field.
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth in a multinational or startup environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of semiconductor technologies and industry trends.
  • Experience managing complex, multi-level sale cycles, with an ability to influence executive-level decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Deep understanding of business dynamics and strategies, including tactics for successfully closing high-stakes deals.
  • Ability to work autonomously and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, or a related field.
  • Deep understanding of electronic systems and HW design.
  • Understanding of the core technology requirements in the digital implementation and/or IP space.
  • Deep technical knowledge and understanding of digital implementation flows (synthesis, place & route, and signoff) and/or experience with IP’s or software platforms.
  • Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing eco-systems.
  • Ability to effectively translate customer needs to viable solutions internally to proteanTecs technical teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Working knowledge of Strategic Selling techniques such as Miller Heiman, or Target Account Selling.
  • Understanding of DFT chip bringup and manufacturing flows.
  • MBA.

Responsibilities

  • Building, developing, and driving a sales pipeline for processor IP technology and software solutions in key accounts across the Silicon Valley.
  • Developing and managing a sales pipeline while driving market penetration, adoption, and revenue.
  • Working closely with multi-functional teams including Application Engineers, Business Unit Marketing, Legal, Finance, proteanTecs executives and collaborating with proteanTecs sales team to achieve sales targets in the region.
  • Generating, developing, qualifying, and driving new business opportunities in the region.
  • Opportunity management.
  • Managing contract negotiations (business and legal) with customers and proteanTecs functional teams.
  • Articulating key value propositions for the adoption of the unique proteanTecs solution with key semiconductor companies, across the organization (executive management, marketing, architects, hardware, and software engineers).
  • Collaborating with technical and marketing teams to develop and execute strategies for proliferation of the technology in the region.
  • Providing market and account feedback to the RnD and Marketing BU to drive product roadmaps and strategies.
  • Tracking activities and providing reports to management, BU and executive personnel on account strategies activities and progress.
  • Developing and executing against strategic sales plans.
  • Maintaining regular contact with multiple internal BU's team to drive enterprise-wide strategic activities.
