About The Position

Are you a tactical sales leader who excels at developing people, strengthening customer relationships, and delivering results? Jendco Safety Supply is looking for a Director of Sales to drive execution, accelerate revenue growth, and build a high-performing, accountable sales culture. This role leads inside and outside sales operations with a focus on performance, customer growth, team leadership, and operational execution. The Director of Sales will coach and develop the sales team, improve processes, strengthen communication, and drive accountability across the department while partnering cross-functionally to support company goals. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, results-driven leader who can analyze performance trends, identify growth opportunities, create structure, and lead teams to consistent results. Strong business acumen, communication skills, and the ability to lead from the front are essential to success in this role. This position goes beyond managing a department - it is about developing talent, improving execution, and fostering a customer first culture focused on performance, ownership, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • 5–7+ years of progressive sales leadership experience, preferably within B2B, industrial distribution, or related environments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and CRM platforms (NetSuite preferred).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal, and relationship building skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with company goals, revenue objectives, and long-term growth initiatives.
  • Drive sustainable growth through strategic account development, customer retention, new business opportunities, and expansion of existing relationships.
  • Leverage customer purchasing trends, scorecards, and transactional insights to strengthen customer loyalty and increase repeat business.
  • Improve sales processes, communication, quote follow-up, CRM utilization, and pipeline visibility to increase sales effectiveness and improve quote-to-order conversion rates across the sales organization.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry trends, competitors, products, and customer needs to support strategic decision-making and sales growth.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and strategic partners while resolving escalated customer concerns with a solutions-focused mindset.
  • Partner with operations, purchasing, marketing, finance, and leadership teams to support customer success and business initiatives.
  • Create a performance driven culture through clearly defined KPIs, measurable goals, clear expectations, and consistent monitoring of sales activity, responsiveness, and follow-through.
  • Lead from the front by mentoring, and developing inside and outside sales teams through regular one-on-ones, sales department meetings, accountability conversations, field support, and ongoing training.
  • Support the growth and success of the sales organization through participation in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, coaching, and performance management activities.
  • Promote accountability and operational consistency through enforcement of company policies, customer service standards, and sales expectations.
  • Travel as needed to support customer relationships, team development, and business growth initiatives.
