Canastra Fishing Company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Director to drive its commercial strategy and expand market presence. As the Sales Director, you will be responsible for managing existing accounts, developing and executing sales, as well as new sales growth. You will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth within the current portfolio of business and building strategic partnerships. Requirements

  • Five plus years of a proven track record of success in seafood sales
  • Demonstrated ability to drive revenue growth, meet sales targets, and expand market share.
  • Strategic mindset with exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, able to identify market opportunities and develop effective go-to-market strategies.
  • Cooperative and collaborative mindset, working well with teams
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, and industry influencers.
  • The job will require travel when needed to customers and trade shows.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with management and build upon the commercial (sales + marketing) strategy, aligned with the company's overall business goals and objectives.
  • Manage existing account activity and identify ways to grow portfolio.
  • Lead all aspects of the sales cycle, including prospecting, relationship building, solution presentations, negotiations, and contract closures.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, establishing strategic partnerships, and cultivating strong relationships with key industry stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape, providing insights to guide product development and positioning.
  • Collaborate with the owners to ensure commercial viability and market fit of new products and features, based on customer feedback and market demand.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging consumer trends in retail and food service adapting strategies accordingly.
  • Represent CFC at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, acting as a brand ambassador and showcasing the company's value proposition.
