About The Position

The Director of Community Relations is responsible for achieving maximum occupancy and total revenue potential of the community by attracting qualified prospects and converting those prospects into Residents. This role involves community outreach and education to create referrals, regularly meeting sales goals, responding to inquiries, scheduling visits, conducting tours, and closing sales. The Director will manage the prospect pipeline, participate in sales and marketing meetings, and ensure the use of sales-related software. They will also provide updates on community status, assist with new resident move-ins, participate in events, resolve first impression issues, and collaborate with department heads to emphasize the team's role in sales. Weekend coverage as Manager on Duty may be required. The role also includes updating competitor evaluations and price surveys, following all safety and emergency procedures, and exhibiting excellent customer service and public relations skills. Requirements

  • Five years sales/marketing experience with a proven track record.
  • Effective problem-solving skills.
  • Creative approach to goals and problems.
  • Experience working with seniors.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office and other marketing-related software.
  • Physically able to bend and reach.
  • Physically able to push and pull and lift up to 40-50 pounds if necessary.
  • Physically able to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Spends at least 30% of time on travel to referral sources in market area.
  • Background, criminal, and drug tests may be required.
  • May be asked to submit to random drug test during employment.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve maximum occupancy and total revenue potential by attracting qualified prospects and converting them into Residents.
  • Conduct community outreach and education activities to create referrals.
  • Regularly meet sales goals, including time in selling zone, time in outreach zone, voice-to-voice calls, tours, home visits, prospect case studies, and creative follow-up.
  • Exceed occupancy to budget goals.
  • Respond to inquiries, schedule visits, conduct tours, and close sales per sales and marketing goals.
  • Conduct daily and weekly reviews of prospects in the pipeline (Hot Board).
  • Participate in sales meetings, including semi-annual marketing meetings with AgeWell Solvere Living.
  • Ensure the marketing team uses Sherpa for all internal and external sales activities.
  • Participate in Stand-Up meetings, providing updates on census, projected move-ins, tours, and events.
  • Provide Marketing Coordinator with new Resident and Family contact information to assist in the move-in process, including all required paperwork, unit readiness, and Resident requests.
  • Participate in on-site and off-site events.
  • Work with the Executive Director to resolve any Community first impression issues.
  • Review weekly productivity reports for accuracy.
  • Participate in weekly sales calls with AgeWell Solvere Living.
  • Work collaboratively with department heads to emphasize the team’s role in sales.
  • Provide Manager on Duty weekend coverage as scheduled.
  • Update key competitor evaluations and price surveys semi-annually.
  • Follow all emergency procedures.
  • Understand all safety practices and procedures.
  • Exhibit excellent customer service and public relations skills.
  • Promote the Community in a positive manner and effectively communicate AgeWell Solvere Living Managed Community values to residents, families, visitors, and team members.
