About The Position

This is a hands-on, fast paced leadership role where no two days look the same. From coaching and developing a high-performing team to analyzing sales performance, improving conversion, and championing new technology and AI-driven ways of working, you'll have real ownership and the opportunity to make a significant impact on one of our most important growth markets. You'll balance people leadership, commercial performance, and continuous improvement—spotting opportunities in the data, solving challenges, and collaborating with teams across the business to create outstanding customer experiences and drive sustainable growth. The Sales Director (North America) will report to our Head of Sales, Jasper Verlaan, and plays a big part in the expansion and success of Macs Adventure.

Requirements

  • A proven track record of 5+ years in sales management, with real results to show for it.
  • Experience leading teams, hitting targets, and building something you're proud of.
  • Leadership style that motivates and develops people, creating an environment where individuals and teams can perform at their best.
  • Demonstrated experience driving technology and innovation within a sales environment, ideally including CRM systems and emerging AI tools.
  • Outstanding communication skills, confident and articulate at every level.
  • A proactive, solutions-first mindset; spotting problems early and showing up with answers.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to keep yourself and your team performing consistently under pressure.
  • A genuine love of the outdoors and active travel.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of 10–12 Sales Specialists, creating an environment where people are supported, challenged and empowered to perform at their best.
  • Own performance against sales, innovation, and productivity targets, working closely with your team every week.
  • Set the pace and direction, creating a high-performance culture where people know exactly what's expected and feel genuinely motivated to deliver it.
  • Conduct structured, high-quality weekly 1-2-1s and team meetings that drive performance and development.
  • Coach and develop your team to deliver a seamless customer experience.
  • Handle escalations decisively and implement solutions that have a lasting impact.
  • Act as the bridge between Sales and other departments, ensuring a great experience for cross-functional colleagues and customers.
  • Build your team through recruitment, onboarding, and training, holding the bar high.
  • Identify great talent, develop people to reach their potential, and build an engaged, high-performing team.
  • Actively seek out and champion AI and technology solutions that help the sales organization perform at its best.
  • Present ideas, take initiative, and put the company at the forefront of what's possible in the industry.
  • Lead by example, bringing the Macs Adventure values to life daily.
  • Build strong relationships across the business, helping create an environment where teams work effectively together.

  • Salary: $90K - $115K annually dependent on experience
