We are seeking a driven and strategic Sales Director – Key Accounts to lead growth within our most important customer relationships. This role is ideal for a high-performing sales leader who thrives on building executive-level partnerships, navigating complex organizations, and delivering measurable business results. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a critical role in expanding our market presence and shaping long-term success for both our customers and our organization. Position Summary The Sales Director – Key Accounts is responsible for driving profitable sales growth across assigned strategic accounts within the Haag-Streit USA portfolio. This role develops and executes high-impact account strategies, mobilizes cross-functional teams, and builds strong executive-level relationships to expand market share, accelerate growth, and outperform competitors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum 5+ years of sales experience in a comparable industry with increasing responsibility.
  • Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong knowledge of the U.S. ophthalmic market and purchasing dynamics.
  • Exceptional consultative selling and executive-level communication skills.
  • Demonstrated success influencing key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Experience with structured sales methodologies and channel sales models.
  • Ability to manage sales pipelines, forecasts, and CRM systems effectively.
  • Strong collaboration skills with a team-oriented, results-driven mindset.
  • Excellent presentation, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive, self-motivated approach.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Willingness to travel domestically (20–40%), including occasional weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Own and exceed annual sales and margin targets for assigned key accounts.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to drive growth and competitive advantage.
  • Build and maintain relationships across all levels of key account organizations, including C-suite and sales leadership.
  • Ensure Haag-Streit USA products remain top-of-mind with a clearly communicated value proposition.
  • Support dealer personnel through training, installations, clinical support, and ongoing coaching.
  • Mentor and coach dealer sales representatives to strengthen product knowledge and selling effectiveness.
  • Partner with sales operations to track forecasts, performance metrics, and inventory data.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities within teaching institutions, documenting insights in CRM systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Production, Finance, and HR to align resources and strategies.
  • Facilitate executive-level meetings to uncover cross-selling opportunities across Surgical and Simulation product lines.
  • Maintain deep expertise in products, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
  • Represent Haag-Streit USA at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
