About The Position

CStoreMaster is a leading distributor for convenience stores throughout the USA. The National Key Account Director will be responsible for managing all sales and relationships with retail Chain accounts based out of the US. This is an exciting, fast-paced sales opportunity for a self-starter who is able to build customer relationships, sell in a fact-based manner, and is data and category driven. It is a high visibility position with opportunity for fast growth within the organization, reports directly to the President, and offers a startup atmosphere with significant travel across the country.

Requirements

  • An insatiable curiosity of what makes customers tick and the ability to turn that curiosity into sales opportunities to drive CStoreMaster’s and our customer’s business
  • Proven track record in achieving sales quotas and in-store condition KPI’s targets
  • Previous success in building and growing relationships with chain accounts
  • A technologically savvy individual who is comfortable working in a data-driven environment
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Proven track record of working independently
  • Successfully complete background and reference checks

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in CPG, Beverage Alcohol, FMCPG, or relatable industries an asset
  • Any prior experience in Sales, Account Management, Category Management or Trade Marketing

Responsibilities

  • Manage all chain c-store accounts & establish CStoreMaster as a first-choice partner with these customers
  • Identify new distribution opportunities and build partnerships that maximize profitable share and volume through distribution, visibility, and service
  • Execute marketing initiatives and leverage them into consumer loyalty and sales
  • Effectively manage a given chain account list, ensuring all administration records and information is up to date
  • Work with Chain Category Managers to effectively lead industry and brand education sessions with national customers and their staff
  • Work together with each national account to develop programming, planograms, and features
  • Achieve KPI targets on: Volume and Share, In-store condition, Distribution, Product placement, Price accuracy and communication, Product quality standards, Compliance to approved outlet route plans and call frequency requirements
  • Representing CStoreMaster in line with brand and merchandising guidelines
  • Build and maintain meaningful and valuable relationships that are favorable in supporting the annual operating plan
  • Build and develop relationships with national account owners and/or executives at a head office level
  • Build appropriate programs, planograms and product features that benefit both CStoreMaster and the national account
  • Communicate and work cohesively with the Chain Category Managers and Analysts on distribution, programs, and features
  • Execute annual plan and commitments
  • Manage own time including building effective weekly/monthly schedules
  • Maintain and accurately track annual sales – identify factors that contribute to negative/positive sales variance
  • Maintain and accurately track consumer budgets on time
  • Effectively manage a budget to drive volume and share growth within acceptable trade practices, according to brand strategy and merchandising guidelines
  • Monitor and manage sales expenses within an allotted budget
  • Execute all programs within established guidelines and, scorecard/recap results
  • Collaborate with the Category Managers in planning sales activities and setting sales goals for assigned Region
