About The Position

Solect Energy is seeking a full-time Sales Development Team Manager to lead new customer and project origination. This role will develop new account meetings and new project opportunities by prospecting commercial building owners and supervising a team of full-time outbound sales development specialists. The individual will work with the Marketing and outside Sales teams and be responsible for achieving and reporting on new meeting and new project goals. Applicants should be goal-oriented and highly motivated, organized, and experienced with software applications; have excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills; and have experience in B-to-B new customer acquisition. Requirements

  • Experience in business-to-business new project prospecting and customer development
  • A proven ability to set meetings with a minimum of 1+ years of related experience
  • A strong work ethic, manifesting as initiative, dependability, and perseverance to achieve goals
  • Team leadership and effective management of direct reports
  • Professionally persistent in cultivating engagement with prospects
  • Excellent teamwork and ability to deliver as part of a team and accountable to deliver individual results.
  • Experience with and ability to work productively with systems including Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Microsoft, call automation, data sources, LinkedIn and capacity to learn and apply new technology quickly

Responsibilities

  • Utilize phone, email, screen-sharing, social media, and attend in person events to contact prospects
  • Succeed in securing qualifying meetings with prospects that convert to new qualified projects.
  • Allocate qualified leads and schedule meetings for outside sales with interested prospects.
  • Manage the MDS team including supervisory responsibilities and coaching and development. Hold regular MDS team meetings to review activity and inspire high performance.
  • Achieve and report qualified new meeting performance against individual and the MDS team goals.
  • Play an active role within the Marketing team to help plan and execute demand generation campaigns
  • Maintain a working knowledge of federal, ISO, state and utility incentive programs and dynamics.
  • Employ Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Microsoft, LinkedIn and other applications at scale on a daily basis.
