About The Position

As a Sales Development Representative, you will play a critical role in identifying, contacting and thoughtfully engaging with a portfolio of assigned customers. The SDR sources and actively develops new sales opportunities, leading our outbound demand generation efforts and scheduling conversations with prospects. The ideal candidate is self-motivated and hungry to start in a technology sales career and willing to put in the work to learn a lead generation skill set that will be an asset to their long-term sales career.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in SaaS Sales. Hospitality tech is a plus!
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field
  • Willingness and desire to work in a fast-paced and high-growth environment
  • Persistent to keep pushing for results, even when facing rejection and adversity
  • Experience with cold calling
  • Excellent written and oral communication and active listening skills
  • Strong desire and ability to move up within a sales organization
  • Creative problem-solving approach
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills

Responsibilities

  • Generate Leads. You’ll build prospect lists, research accounts, cold call and warm call, craft personalized email outreach, leverage a robust tech sales stack, and use AI to prospect at scale. You'll generate leads through: Highly targeted outbound prospecting, Nurturing and converting inbound leads.
  • Lead introductory calls and master the art of discovery. You'll learn to identify prospect pain points and articulate Operto’s value in real conversations, building this crucial sales skill through hands-on experience.
  • Have the autonomy to work on projects beyond your role. From evaluating leading edge sales technology, to improving existing processes, and supporting the Sales Manager and Solutions Engineer your impact goes beyond just prospecting.
