About The Position

ScyllaDB is seeking an Outbound Sales Development Representative (SDR) who excels at prospecting and utilizes data to create a repeatable process for generating human-to-human messages that elicit responses. This role is not about high volume or "smile and dial"; instead, as a hunter, you will partner directly with Enterprise and Corporate Account Executives to generate outbound pipeline within high-value target accounts. This involves signal-based prospecting, hunting for intent data, analyzing database technology stacks, diagnosing infrastructure bottlenecks, and executing go-to-market strategies that connect technical pain points or compelling events to corporate budgets. ScyllaDB offers a ground-floor opportunity in a rapidly growing market for its distributed NoSQL database, designed for workloads where low latency and high throughput are critical, with strong adoption in AI infrastructure and real-time data pipelines. As the forefront of ScyllaDB's go-to-market strategy, your outreach must be valuable and insightful for engineers and developers working with high-throughput, latency-sensitive applications, building credibility and trust with highly technical buyers. Requirements

  • 3+ years of high-performing B2B sales development experience, specifically focused on outbound pipeline generation in the complex SaaS, open-source, or infrastructure tech space.
  • Proven history of consistently exceeding pipeline, meeting, and revenue-impact targets.
  • Unwavering confidence in executing multi-channel outreach, including targeted, hypothesis-driven cold calls and personalized emails.
  • Executive-level business acumen with exceptional conversational, active listening, and copywriting skills.
  • Relentless drive to quickly adapt to evolving prospecting methods, testing new intent signals and approaches.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fully remote environment with elite time-management skills.
  • A proven aptitude for quickly learning highly technical, developer-focused products is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience selling distributed systems, databases, or real-time data processing is a massive advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Craft and execute highly targeted, consultative outreach across phone, email, and social channels, translating technical pain points into clear business impact.
  • Partner closely with Enterprise and Corporate Account Executives to build comprehensive Account Briefs, design targeted outbound campaigns, and seamlessly transition qualified opportunities.
  • Leverage intent data, tech-stack signals, and modern prospecting tools to identify, prioritize, and break into Tier-1 target accounts.
  • Execute multi-threaded account plays by mapping the organization and bridging the gap between technical Champions (Database Engineers, SREs) and economic Signers (VPs of Engineering, CTOs).
  • Maintain immaculate pipeline hygiene, documenting account intelligence, and tracking all activities accurately in Salesforce and Salesloft.
  • Consistently achieve monthly and quarterly targets by generating high-quality meetings that successfully convert into qualified pipeline.
