About The Position

Dovetail is seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join their team. This remote role will be the first point of contact for potential clients, focusing on identifying opportunities, generating leads, and collaborating with Account Executives. The SDR will play a key role in scaling Dovetail's Customer Intelligence Platform. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about building relationships, solving complex problems, and advancing their careers in a fast-paced, high-growth SaaS environment.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of SDR or BDR experience in B2B SaaS, early-stage/scale-up companies, or targeting product, design, or research personas.
  • Understanding of mid-market and enterprise purchasing decisions and how to navigate complex account maps.
  • Proven use of personalized, high-quality outreach across email, phone, social, and video, leveraging trigger-based campaigns.
  • Familiarity with CRMs (HubSpot or Salesforce), prospecting tools (Sales Navigator, Clay, Apollo), and sequence builders (Mixmax, Outreach).
  • Analytical and operational mindset with the ability to use data to guide decisions and track performance against KPIs.
  • Clear communication skills, writing and speaking with clarity, empathy, and precision.
  • High agency and growth mindset, comfortable in ambiguity, proactive in problem-solving, and thriving on experimentation.
  • Curiosity about the research, product development, and design landscape.

  • Experience at high-growth firms like Notion, Figma, or Atlassian.
  • Experience with AI tools and a proactive approach to integrating AI into daily work.

Responsibilities

  • Be a founding member of the SDR team, supporting the design, tooling, and playbook development for the new sales development motion.
  • Own top-of-funnel pipeline generation through proactive identification, research, and multi-channel engagement with prospects.
  • Partner with Marketing and Sales teams (Demand Generation, RevOps, Account Executives) to develop effective messaging, lead scoring, and ABM campaigns.
  • Consult and educate prospects by asking thoughtful questions, uncovering pain points, and articulating the value of an AI-first insights platform.
  • Leverage AI and data tools (HubSpot, Clay, Mixmax, Sales Navigator, Dovetail's platform) to personalize outreach and optimize conversions.
  • Develop repeatable outreach processes, A/B test messaging, and share learnings to improve team performance.
  • Qualify and hand off high-quality leads to Account Executives, ensuring seamless transitions.
  • Represent the Dovetail brand with empathy and curiosity, modeling the company's customer-obsessed culture.
