About The Position

TalentPop is seeking a Sales Development Representative (SDR) to act as the initial point of contact for potential customers, aiming to convert their interest into qualified sales opportunities. This role involves managing a consistent flow of inbound leads and proactively prospecting a select group of high-fit accounts. Unlike high-volume roles, this position emphasizes identifying genuine customer intent, understanding their needs, and converting qualified opportunities into demos for Account Executives. The ideal candidate will be organized, responsive, commercially astute, and adept at balancing promptness with personalized outreach. For high performers, this role offers a potential career path to an Account Executive position within approximately 12 months, contingent on performance and business needs.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience as an SDR, BDR, or in a comparable sales development, business development, or prospecting-focused role.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct multi-channel prospecting and follow-up across email, phone, LinkedIn, and related sales channels.
  • Experience with account-based outbound prospecting, including prioritizing target accounts, researching prospects, personalizing outreach, and executing multi-touch sequences.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create personalized prospect messaging rather than relying solely on templated outreach.
  • Experience using HubSpot or a comparable CRM, with a track record of maintaining accurate pipeline data and meeting established activity and conversion targets.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience within E-Commerce, SaaS, agency, or technology-enabled services environments.
  • Experience selling products or services to DTC or E-Commerce brands.
  • Familiarity with the Shopify ecosystem, including common apps, platforms, and technology used by E-Commerce brands.
  • Experience working with sales engagement, prospecting, enrichment, or sequencing tools.
  • Demonstrated interest in progressing into a closing sales role, such as Account Executive.

Responsibilities

  • Own the initial qualification and engagement of inbound and outbound prospects, converting qualified opportunities into scheduled demos for Account Executives.
  • Maintain timely and consistent prospect follow-up across email, phone, LinkedIn, and other approved outreach channels.
  • Research and qualify target accounts to determine fit, identify relevant business needs, and personalize outreach accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate and complete CRM records, including prospect activity, qualification status, stage progression, and disposition.
  • Meet established activity, response-time, pipeline generation, and demo-booking expectations.
  • Respond to inbound leads quickly, with a target speed-to-lead of under five minutes during business hours, and manage follow-up until a meeting is booked or the lead is clearly disqualified.
  • Execute multi-touch outbound sequences across email, phone, and LinkedIn against a defined list of target accounts that align with TalentPop's ideal customer profile.
  • Research prospective accounts before outreach, including their business model, customer support environment, helpdesk or technology stack, team structure, and potential needs.
  • Maintain strong HubSpot hygiene by logging activity, updating stages, maintaining accurate prospect records, and supporting weekly pipeline reporting.
  • Share insights with the broader sales team regarding messaging effectiveness, prospect objections, high-converting segments, common needs, and points of funnel drop-off.

Benefits

  • Unlimited PTO after 90 days of employment.
  • Company MacBook and $300 home office stipend.
  • Comprehensive United health insurance.
  • 100% company-covered dental and vision insurance through Humana.
