CartaNew York, NY
$98,347 - $109,995Remote

About The Position

Carta connects founders, investors, and limited partners through world-class software, purpose-built for everyone in venture capital, private equity and private credit. Carta’s Fund Administration platform supports 9,000+ funds and SPVs, representing nearly $185B in assets under management, with tools designed to enhance the strategic impact of fund CFOs. Carta is shaping the future of private market infrastructure by creating the end-to-end ERP platform for private markets. This role is at the commercial frontier of a business that is scaling fast, with a clear progression path from SDR into a full closing role for the right person. The Sales Development Representative will work to fill the top of the funnel by owning outbound prospecting through LinkedIn, cold calling, and digital outreach, identifying the right targets, sparking the right conversations, and booking qualified meetings for the Sales Directors. They will also build a pipeline the team can close from by collaborating with Sales Directors and fellow SDRs to develop sharp, well-researched prospect target lists. Additionally, the role involves maintaining accurate records of all sales activity and client interactions in the CRM, assisting in preparing sales collateral and presentations, and monitoring industry trends, competitor activity, and market developments to ensure outreach is timely and relevant.

  • Understand the outbound motion
  • Comfortable with cold outreach and rejection
  • Know how to earn a conversation

  • Treat data hygiene as a professional standard, not an afterthought.
  • Adapt quickly in a fast-moving environment
  • Collaborate well across functions — including with C-suite and lead lawyers
  • Motivated by the path this role opens up, not just the role itself.
  • Must be able to work Eastern Time hours (9am–6pm ET), Monday to Friday.
