Sales / Design Consultant New Bern
About The Position
Closets by Design is hiring a Design Consultant to help customers organize their homes by designing and selling custom home organization systems. The role offers a hybrid remote arrangement and a flexible schedule, with pre-set appointments and marketing materials provided. Consultants meet with new and repeat clients, assess their organizational needs in the home, and explain the company’s products and services. Complete sales and design training is provided, including a 16-week program with ongoing mentorship. The role offers a direct path to Senior Sales Designer, with a pay and bonus increase at that level.
Requirements
- No degree, certification, or sales experience is required.
- Smart, outgoing, and coachable candidates are sought.
- Willingness to complete the 16-week sales training program.
- Reliable access to a motor vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and auto insurance.
Responsibilities
- Attend pre-set appointments with customers.
- Build rapport with customers and understand their organizational needs.
- Walk through customers’ homes to assess opportunities.
- Educate customers on the company’s products and services.
- Follow the sales training and use communication skills to help clients with home organizational needs.
