About The Position

The Sales & Customer Success Support position is responsible for growing FANS scores and ensuring that the dealership exceeds the greatest expectations of our customers. This role involves supporting sales staff, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining the presentation of products and facilities.

Requirements

  • Reports directly to the General Manager/Sales Manager.
  • Works directly with Sales Team to assist in all sales functions.
  • Works cooperatively and supportively with the staff of all MarineMax locations.
  • Accurate and timely completion of all paperwork.
  • Timely and accurate completion of all administrative tasks.
  • Professional telephone and face-to-face contact with all customers and team members.
  • Professional representation of MarineMax.
  • Physical presence and execution of duties during assigned hours of operation.
  • Inform supervisor of location, activity, and anticipated time of departure and return if not present.
  • Coordinate all absences with the supervisor and post a message at the sales office calendar showing departure, expected return time, and phone contact.
  • Document in detail the amount and purpose of all expenditures (misc. purchase orders and receipts required).
  • Document all fuel expenditures with receipts showing IDS unit stock numbers and description of expense type (customer delivery, demo boat, etc.).
  • Report damage requiring repair and routine maintenance required for all inventory and demonstration equipment promptly with a complete assessment of parts and labor needed to return equipment to service or to a sellable condition.
  • Adhere to the MarineMax sales department dress code.

Responsibilities

  • Customer Expectation Assurance: Detect and resolve customer expectation issues, promote an attitude of customer accommodation and support, and resolve customer complaints in accordance with company policy.
  • Sales Support: Provide customer service and assistance for boat deliveries and demonstrations, boat handling and operation assistance, execute daily tasks as requested by management, pick up and return customer watercraft, and optimize sales staff opportunities.
  • Marketing Support: Maintain professional presentation of products, update boat price signage, inspect showroom inventory for cleanliness and presentation, arrange cushions and canvas, call for repairs, clean minor issues, inspect outside inventory, and assist in other marketing functions including event planning and setup.
  • Event Planning & Setup: Transport boats to and from shows, participate in event set up and tear down, and provide necessary assistance.
  • Personal Development: Participate in all MarineMax training.
  • Expense Control: Document all expenditures, fuel expenditures, and report damage or maintenance needs promptly.
  • Housekeeping/Facility Maintenance: Ensure proper maintenance and appearance of the facility and product displays, keep units clean, attractive, and safe, keep personal work area clean, and maintain good personal hygiene and grooming.
  • Availability: Execute duties during assigned hours of operation, attend to personal business outside of assigned hours, inform supervisor of location and anticipated return time if absent, and coordinate all absences with the supervisor.
