About The Position

This role is responsible for coordinating sales and catering events, as well as assisting with revenue analysis and reporting. The Sales Coordinator acts as a liaison between sales managers and clients, ensuring seamless event execution from pre-event to post-event phases. Additionally, the role involves generating reports, assisting with forecasts, monitoring market intelligence, and supporting revenue strategy meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare all event documentation and coordinate with sales, hotel departments, and customers to ensure consistent, high-level service throughout pre-event, event, and post-event phases.
  • Recognize opportunities to maximize revenue by up-selling and offering enhancements to create outstanding events.
  • Manage group and event space blocks in sales systems (Delphi.fdc) ensuring optimal space utilization.
  • Act as a liaison between Sales Managers and customers throughout the event process, being available to solve problems and/or suggest alternatives.
  • Proactively identify and resolve operational challenges before and during events in collaboration with internal departments.
  • Manage banquet and meeting space for assigned groups.
  • Collaborate with Sales Managers to assess the feasibility of client requests, including space compatibility and materials.
  • Assist in promoting the hotel, generating new leads, and supporting efforts to secure repeat business.
  • Ensure accurate account history and client data entry within OnQ/PEP.
  • Initiate phone calls to clients prior to their events to confirm final details, collect updated information, and address last-minute needs.
  • Proactively identify and present upsell opportunities such as premium menu options, specialty décor, or added services to enhance the event experience and increase revenue.
  • Generate and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to pace, pickup, occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and segmentation performance.
  • Assist in the development of group forecasts, budgets, and revenue strategy plans in collaboration with the Revenue team.
  • Monitor rate parity and inventory accuracy across all booking channels and third-party sites.
  • Create and manage group room blocks, booking codes, and reservation links in coordination with the Sales and Front Office teams.
  • Provide market intelligence by tracking competitor pricing, promotional offers, and business mix.
  • Support weekly strategy meetings by preparing data dashboards and performance summaries.
  • Identify revenue opportunities through upselling recommendations and strategic group placement.
