About The Position

Dick's Lumber is a manufacturer, innovator and distributor of high-quality building materials for the construction industry. We’re building better structures, teams and communities. We are looking for a Sales Coordinator for our Crossfield office to support the sales team and assist with a variety of business functions to ensure the team operates efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will provide dedicated support to our existing customer base, with a strong focus on internal operations and administrative coordination.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with office equipment, such as printers/ copiers, and phone systems.
  • Understanding of sales, marketing, and point of sale systems.
  • Experience with computer software i.e., MS Office Suite
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, logistics operations and the general construction industry.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, Strong time management skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English are required for this position.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge or experience in manufactured wood products, would be an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Answer incoming phone calls, providing excellent customer service and addressing inquiries promptly.
  • Manage daily invoicing and credit processes, ensuring accuracy and timely processing. Enter credit/debit payments into ERP software (BisTrack) and coordinate with the Credit Department.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams in Crossfield/ Airdrie & Leduc for Alberta orders. Send appropriate documents, changing orders for correct jobs.
  • Prepare sales quotes and create organized sales folders for sales personnel to facilitate efficient operations.
  • Close credit/debit machine transactions and send reports to the Finance Department.
  • Create and receive purchase orders (POs) and ensure accurate scanning of POs into ScanTrack. Notify relevant personnel of invoice entries.
  • Maintain customer relations by scheduling shipments and providing timely updates on production packages.
  • Organize and send appropriate documentation for manufacturing processes, ensuring orders are correctly aligned with job specifications.
