About The Position

This internship offers a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of hospitality sales. You will develop essential skills in sales, organization, and customer service while playing a direct role in the success of our events. The internship is for the fall at the Alt Hotel Montréal, starting in August 2026 and lasting for 6 months.

Requirements

  • Strong computer skills (knowledge of Opera PMS is an asset).
  • A strong sense of customer service and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong communication abilities in both French and English, spoken and written, due to the nature of the tasks and interactions with colleagues, partners, and clients across Canada.
  • Excellent organizational skills and versatility.
  • High attention to detail and strong planning abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Opera PMS

Responsibilities

  • Participate in managing requests for meeting rooms and banquets (corporate or social events) in collaboration with the Business Development Managers.
  • Assist in meeting and/or contacting clients to plan their events when necessary, and be present for certain major events (availability in the evenings and on weekends).
  • Complete meeting room and group room reservations.
  • Coordinate activities in accordance with contractual agreements in collaboration with other departments and various suppliers.
  • Act as a liaison between client food and beverage needs and the caterer/restaurant to ensure everything agreed upon is delivered.
  • Assist with billing follow-ups.
  • Provide support to the sales team.
