About The Position

J. Allen Ford is seeking driven, results-oriented automotive professionals to join their team as Sales Consultants with a focus on used vehicles. This role requires a passion for people and a drive to succeed in a fast-paced sales environment, while also supporting new Ford sales opportunities. The ideal candidate will be a motivated team player who can build lasting customer relationships. J. Allen Ford provides the necessary tools, inventory, and training, expecting dedication and excellence in return. The Sales Consultant will be the face of the dealership, guiding customers through vehicle purchases with transparency and professionalism.

Requirements

  • Used Car “Hunter” Mentality: Aggressive about finding and closing opportunities in pre-owned inventory.
  • Interpersonal Strength: Ability to build trust quickly and connect with a wide range of customers and budgets.
  • Professionalism: Strong communication skills and polished presentation.
  • Comfortable using CRM and digital retail tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Automotive or sales experience preferred, especially in used vehicle sales.

Responsibilities

  • Actively present, market, and sell used inventory as the primary focus.
  • Stay trained and ready to sell new Ford vehicles when opportunities arise.
  • Manage the full sales journey from digital leads and prospecting to delivery and follow-up.
  • Present and demonstrate both used and new vehicles to match customer needs and budget.
  • Work inventory reports to maximize used car turn rate and dealership profitability.
  • Maintain expertise on Ford products, used market trends, and pricing strategy.
  • Use CRM tools to ensure strong follow-up and no missed opportunities.
  • Meet or exceed CSI, gross profit expectations, and monthly unit goals across both used and new sales.
