About The Position
Playlist is seeking a detail-oriented analyst for a contract role supporting sales compensation across its brands. The analyst will help ensure earnings are accurately calculated, processed on time, and delivered to Payroll with strong controls and clear documentation. The role also responds to commission questions from cross-functional team members, explaining calculations, plan terms, and payment timing in plain language. It requires balancing competing priorities alongside fixed processing deadlines without sacrificing accuracy. The role works with Payroll, Sales Operations, and Finance, and documents processes, decisions, and exceptions to support handoff at the end of the term. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed to support the team and business goals.
Requirements
- Professional fluency in written and spoken English; all work is conducted in English.
- Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, data validation, and reconciliations.
- Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and own deliverables through completion.
- Clear, proactive written and verbal communication with internal stakeholders.
- Experience in sales operations, revenue operations, sales compensation, finance, or payroll.

Responsibilities
- Respond to commission inquiries, explain calculations and terms in plain language, and follow up through resolution.
- Process manual spreadsheets and uploads, including one-off payments, LOA adjustments, SPIFFs, new hire setup, and license management.
- Complete monthly and quarterly commission processing tasks accurately and on schedule.
- Identify discrepancies, data issues, and process gaps, and escalate them to Sales Compensation leadership.
- Respond to commission inquiries within defined response times and follow up through resolution.
- Work with Payroll, Sales Operations, and Finance to obtain inputs and resolve open items.
- Document processes, decisions, and exceptions to support handoff at the end of the term.
