Requirements

  • Ability to manage highly confidential compensation, earnings, and employee performance data with discretion and professionalism.
  • Ability to identify anomalies and proactively address issues before they impact participants or business operations.
  • Ability to analyze large data sets and translate findings into meaningful insights and recommendations.
  • Knowledge of how incentive compensation aligns with company goals, revenue growth, and profitability.
  • BA Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, Analytics, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in a financial or analytical role, preferably managing commissions and sales programs.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the administration of advisor and sales compensation programs by ensuring accurate data collection, validation, and processing.
  • Gathers and posts compensation-related data, reviews it against plan rules, and maintains data integrity across systems.
  • Gathers sales, production, and revenue data from systems such as CRM platforms, Trust Desk, LPL, Tamarac, and internal financial reports.
  • Reviews data for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with expected results.
  • Performs foundational data validations and escalates discrepancies when identified.
  • Posts and uploads validated data into compensation and tracking systems.
  • Supports recurring data cycles tied to advisor compensation (monthly/quarterly payouts).
  • Calculates advisor compensation, including commissions, fees, and incentive payouts.
  • Follows defined compensation plan rules and documented procedures.
  • Supports reconciliation processes to confirm data inputs match compensation outputs.
  • Helps investigate and resolve basic compensation or data discrepancies.
  • Builds a working knowledge of compensation plan documents, including payout grids, eligibility rules, and crediting logic.
  • Understands key components such as production credits, assets under management (AUM), and revenue-based compensation.
  • Learns how data flows from source systems into compensation calculations.
  • Ensures data used aligns with plan definitions and business rules.
  • Produces recurring reports related to advisor production, payouts, and performance tracking.
  • Maintains and updates standard reporting templates and dashboards.
  • Identifies obvious inconsistencies or unusual trends and escalates appropriately.
  • Gradually develops stronger analytical capabilities over time.
  • Maintains accurate records in systems such as Salesforce, Excel-based tools, and compensation platforms.
  • Follows established procedures for data updates, corrections, and audit tracking.
  • Documents processes and assists in improving data workflows.
  • Works with Sales Operations, Finance, and Compensation teams to ensure data accuracy.
  • Responds to sales inquiries about compensation calculations and disputes.
  • Communicates plan details and analytics findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Partners with sales leadership and HR to analyze special offers and draft offer letter language.
  • Works with the Divisional CFO to budget, forecast, validate, adjust, and reconcile variable compensation accruals.
  • Tracks and evaluates special offers; forecasts budget impacts and notifies sales leadership and HR of required updates to draws, grids, and other incentive programs.
  • Develops and maintains budget and forecast models for LPL revenue.
  • Supports annual peer reviews and audit requests related to variable compensation, LPL revenue, and AUM.
