About The Position

Mankato Motor Company is seeking individuals with a strong work ethic, integrity, and a passion for customer interaction to join our growing team as Sales & Client Experience Trainees. This program is designed for individuals from various backgrounds, including retail, restaurants, hospitality, insurance, financial services, coaching, or the military, who possess excellent people skills and a desire to build a career. No prior automotive sales experience is necessary, as we provide a comprehensive paid training program. Our focus is on developing your work ethic, coachability, and customer care abilities. Upon successful completion of training and advancement, you will transition to a performance-based pay structure with earning potential that exceeds industry norms. We offer a clear career progression, with opportunities to move into full sales consultant roles and leadership positions within our Chevrolet, Nissan, and Volkswagen brands.

Requirements

  • A strong work ethic and a genuine interest in people.
  • Prior experience in any customer-facing or goal-driven role (e.g., retail, hospitality, insurance, food service, military, coaching).
  • Reliability, coachability, and a willingness to learn a new industry.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Learn and apply the 14-step Road to the Sale process with real customers, under guidance.
  • Greet and assist customers throughout their buying journey, focusing on a supportive and pressure-free experience.
  • Develop comprehensive product knowledge across our brand lineup.
  • Master the use of our CRM and inventory management tools to ensure long-term success.
