About The Position

The Store Clerk provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers and supports retail store operations. The role processes sales transactions, prices and displays merchandise, maintains product stock levels, and engages customers in the organization’s mission. The clerk also maintains store cleanliness, follows safety, security, and company procedures, and completes assigned opening, closing, and paperwork tasks.

Requirements

Ability to pass pre-screenings such as background or drug screenings.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance.

Responsibilities

Greet customers, offer assistance, and provide excellent customer service.
Ask customers to round up their purchases to advance the organization’s mission and thank them for their purchases.
Operate the cash register and follow money-handling procedures.
Assist with store displays and organize products to enhance the shopping experience.
Maintain store cleanliness by sweeping, mopping, dusting, emptying trash cans, and keeping hangers and racks orderly.
Follow required safety and security procedures.
Comply with company and store policies and procedures, including opening and closing tasks, pricing, markdowns, and required paperwork.
Receive and verify merchandise and maintain adequate stock levels.
Price products and rotate stock as instructed by management.
Participate in required training.
Perform other duties as assigned.
