The Sales + Business Operations Intern plays a vital role in supporting Hyland's high-growth global partner ecosystem. This is a hands-on role with real responsibility — bridging the gap between business strategy and daily operations. You'll help organize partner data, research market opportunities, keep internal projects moving, and explore how AI tools can eliminate repetitive tasks and drive team efficiency. Requirements

  • Strong spreadsheet and data management skills, including comfort working in Excel or Google Sheets with sorting, filtering, and basic formula application.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and ask the right questions when a project feels ambiguous.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft concise, professional emails and meeting summaries for internal stakeholders.
  • Tech-savvy and adaptable, with the ability to quickly learn new software, tools, and platforms in a fast-paced business environment.
  • High attention to detail when handling large volumes of partner data and information across multiple systems.
  • Currently enrolled in an educational institution
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software products
  • Attentive to department needs as demonstrated by rapid and high-quality responsiveness to requests
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to maintain solid rapport with team members as well as maintain professionalism with those outside of department
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Capable of identifying and completing tasks independently, with a sense of urgency and ownership

  • Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the principal duties of the position.

  • Active curiosity about the tech ecosystem, SaaS business models, and practical day-to-day applications of AI tools.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain accurate partner account maps by handling data entry, cleaning spreadsheets, and ensuring partner information is consistently tracked across internal systems.
  • Support project management and cross-functional coordination by tracking timelines, following up on action items, and ensuring team members have the notes and data they need to hit their deadlines.
  • Research, test, and recommend AI-powered tools that help the team eliminate repetitive manual tasks and work smarter across daily workflows.
  • Conduct targeted market and partner research using LinkedIn, company websites, and industry reports to map organizational structures and surface key sales opportunities.
  • Maintain data hygiene across partner systems, ensuring records are clean, validated, and audit-ready at all times.
  • Contribute to internal reporting and documentation efforts, keeping the broader team aligned and informed across all active initiatives.

Benefits

  • The compensation range for this role is $18.00 – $20.00 per hour.
