About The Position

GEGI is an education technology company focused on delivering a modern, flexible, and affordable Student Information System (SIS) for the U.S. post-secondary education market. Our platform supports key institutional functions including Admissions, Financial Aid, Compliance, Academics, and Career Services. We partner with colleges and universities to streamline operations, improve reporting, and enhance the student lifecycle experience. The GEGI Sales & Business Development Internship is designed for recent college graduates interested in launching a career in SaaS sales, EdTech, or higher education consulting. This program provides hands-on exposure to the full sales lifecycle—from prospecting and outreach to product demonstrations and client engagement—while working directly with senior leadership and experienced sales professionals.

Requirements

  • Recent college graduate or currently enrolled (Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Interest in sales, business development, or education technology
  • Comfortable using tools such as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or CRM systems
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in a remote environment
  • Highly organized with attention to detail

  • Internship or coursework related to sales, marketing, or business development

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify prospective colleges, universities, and training institutions across the U.S.
  • Support outbound outreach efforts (email, LinkedIn, event follow-up) to generate sales opportunities
  • Assist in preparing and participating in product demos and discovery calls
  • Learn how to position GEGI’s SIS against competitors in the EdTech market
  • Help maintain CRM records, pipeline tracking, and follow-up activities
  • Conduct basic market research on trends, competitors, and institutional needs
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to refine messaging and outreach strategies
  • Support conference/event preparation and post-event engagement campaigns
