About The Position

Fox Auto Team is hiring a Business Development / Internet Director to drive online sales performance, lead generation conversion, and customer engagement across our dealerships, Toyota, Lexus, and Acura. This role is responsible for owning the full internet sales process—from lead response to showroom traffic to sold units—while developing and managing a high-performing BDC team. We are looking for a results-driven leader with dealership experience who can create accountability, improve processes, and maximize every opportunity. This role has a direct impact on sales volume and revenue growth, offers the opportunity to lead and build a high-performance BDC/internet team, provides visibility with dealership leadership and measurable results, and allows the ability to shape process, performance, and customer experience.

Requirements

  • Automotive dealership sales experience required
  • Prior leadership or management experience required
  • CRM experience (dealership CRM preferred)
  • Proven ability to drive performance and improve results
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Reliable and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented with a positive attitude
  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening: Drug Test, Background Check, and MVR
  • Ability to work dealership hours, including weekends

Nice To Haves

  • Internet Director, BDC Manager, Sales Manager, or similar role
  • Experience improving appointment rates, show rates, and internet sales volume
  • Familiarity with lead providers, websites, and digital retail tools

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee all internet and BDC operations, including inbound leads, phone opportunities, and digital inquiries
  • Manage the sales process from lead to appointment to showroom visit to sale
  • Monitor and enforce proper use of CRM, ensuring all activity is tracked, followed up, and completed
  • Coach, train, and hold team members accountable for: Response times, Follow-up quality, Appointment setting, Sales performance
  • Track and report key performance metrics, including: Lead volume, Response time, Appointment set rate, Show rate, Close rate, Units sold
  • Work closely with Sales Managers and Sales Consultants to increase conversion and drive results
  • Improve scripts, processes, templates, and follow-up strategies
  • Ensure consistent, professional communication with all customers
  • Create a culture of urgency, accountability, and performance
