About The Position

The Part-Time Sales Associate drives sales efforts and customer relationships by providing excellent customer service and using effective selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Customer service, sales, and teamwork are the most important aspects of the position.

Requirements

• Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not necessary.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
• Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
• Problem-solving and analytical abilities, attention to detail, flexibility, communication skills, and interpersonal skills to provide customer service and support inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, and push or pull up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Use fashion and trend knowledge to identify customer needs, sell appropriate merchandise, meet DTLR standards, and build customer relationships.
• Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
• Present a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression to customers and maintain a positive attitude toward the job and company.
• Comply with company policies.
• Participate in service training and product programs.
• Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and ensure adequate size runs are represented according to visual directions.
• Assist in preventing employee and customer theft.
• Help maintain a neat, orderly, and organized sales environment as directed by store management.
• Perform other assigned duties.
