About The Position

The Sales Associate supports the Store Leadership Team in achieving company goals and initiatives. The role models and maintains excellent customer service through effective communication, product knowledge, and appropriate selling techniques. The Sales Associate maintains merchandise presentation, replenishment, and sizing standards and helps keep the store and backroom neat and clean.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Excellent customer engagement.
• Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including weekends, overnights, evenings, and call-in shifts.
• Ability to maneuver on the sales floor and in the stockroom, climb a ladder, and lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Previous retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor customer activity and respond promptly, prioritizing customer assistance over other tasks.
• Greet and acknowledge customers while providing an appropriate level of service.
• Communicate merchandise value and quality, share current promotions, and offer solutions for out-of-stock items when necessary.
• Use sound judgment to address customer concerns effectively.
• Apply appropriate selling skills to positively impact conversion.
• Provide fast, friendly, and accurate cashwrap service and educate customers about the benefits of the PLACE Card.
• Maintain appropriate stock levels and ensure all sizes and styles are represented.
• Follow company standards for merchandise presentation, signage, and displays.
• Maintain a neat, clean, organized, customer-ready stockroom while following safety requirements.
• Perform daily housekeeping duties to company standards.
• Protect company assets by following Loss Prevention procedures.
• Promptly inform the Store Leadership Team of maintenance and facility needs to help provide a clean and safe environment for customers and associates.
• Contribute focused, well-managed efforts toward achieving store goals.
• Process stock when necessary and adapt to changing needs.
