About The Position

The Sales Associate (MAC Beauty Advisor) provides customers with an engaging shopping experience and product knowledge of M·A·C cosmetics. The role involves helping customers select products and services, communicating effectively, and applying makeup skillfully to create the look customers want. The Beauty Artist contributes to team service, sales, and company objectives while maintaining product displays, tools, testers, inventory, and merchandise. Applicants must provide photos of their makeup work, and final candidates must complete a live makeup application demonstration.

Requirements

• Ability to provide inspirational, authentic, and personalized customer service.
• Ability to work days, nights, weekends, and special events in a fast-paced work environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Makeup artistry certification and/or previous retail makeup experience is desirable; applicants with amateur-level experience are also welcome.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely, welcoming, personal, professional, and consistent service to customers.
• Assist customers with selecting products and services and provide relevant information.
• Communicate effectively and apply makeup efficiently to achieve the look desired by the customer.
• Contribute to team service, sales, and company objectives.
• Participate in M·A·C and partnered-store mandatory training sessions.
• Clean display units, tools, and testers throughout the day.
• Maintain the placement and condition of merchandise on the counter, in the stock room, and in maintained areas.
• Follow security procedures for handling cash and company assets.
• Help stock counter supplies and inventory daily.
• Help merchandise and restock products on the sales floor, in showcases, and in cabinets each morning and as needed throughout the day.
• Follow and model M·A·C policies on customer service, dress code, and professional standards.
• Provide photos demonstrating makeup work; final candidates must complete a live makeup application demonstration.
