About The Position

The Full-Time Sales Associate assists the store management team with daily store operations, including customer service, sales, merchandising, and other assigned responsibilities. The role is expected to be carried out professionally, courteously, reliably, and with a focus on results. The standard work week is a minimum of 35 hours and a maximum of 40 hours. The associate may need to work in multiple stores within the assigned district.

Requirements

Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and coworkers.
Demonstrated leadership and ability to work with minimal supervision and take charge of the store when necessary.
Open availability and flexibility to meet customer demand and business needs.
Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and interest in working with customers in a retail setting.
Proven ability to build and work as part of a team, handle responsibility, and understand the needs of the street lifestyle customer.
Willingness to work in multiple stores in the assigned district.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Previous retail or customer service work experience is preferred but not necessary.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

Build customer relationships and provide attentive, professional, courteous, honest, and responsive service.
Identify customer needs and provide knowledgeable assistance in selecting appropriate products.
Use basic fashion and trend knowledge to recommend merchandise while meeting DTLR standards.
Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
Maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
Comply with and enforce company policies.
Participate in service training and product programs.
Assist the Store Manager in monitoring and identifying loss or inconsistencies and help the store meet shrink goals.
Monitor and control operational compliance, safety, and business standards.
Support employee training in suggested selling and merchandising techniques.
Help prevent inventory shrinkage, follow loss prevention policies, and apply security procedures.
Follow point-of-sale procedures, balance money received during an assignment, and work with store management to investigate discrepancies.
Keep management informed of important developments, potential problems, and related information.
Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
