About The Position

The Sales Associate assists with receiving, stocking, and pricing merchandise and helps maintain an orderly merchandise presentation and overall store cleanliness. The role represents Westlake Ace Hardware by providing friendly, customized customer service, helping customers find products and solve problems, and supporting daily store operations. Associates help maintain merchandise displays and stock levels, keep sales and stock areas clean and organized, and contribute to a positive, professional, and safe work environment. The position is part-time and is located at Store 18614 in Fishers, Indiana.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Ability to stand, walk, lift up to 25 pounds, and climb.
Ability to exhibit and incorporate the company’s Core Values into daily decisions and interactions.

Formal retail experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Represent Westlake Ace Hardware positively and provide friendly, customized customer service.
Proactively help customers solve problems, greet them in the store, and thank them when they leave.
Answer pages and calls promptly, courteously, and effectively; refer unresolved customer complaints to management.
Maintain knowledge of products, store layout, and product locations.
Assist with receiving, checking in, stocking, and maintaining back-stock merchandise.
Help maintain clean, orderly sales floor, stock room, and outdoor merchandise areas, including end caps and advertised merchandise.
Assist with merchandise resets, price changes, special orders, and keeping store signage current.
Operate a forklift after receiving proper training.
Report Store Support Center issues to the General Manager for follow-up.
Share merchandising, cost-control, and sales ideas with the General Manager.
Participate in store meetings and maintain a professional appearance and conduct.
Help create a positive, professional, and safe work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
