About The Position
Planet 13 is seeking a part-time Sales Associate for its Tampa – Bruce B. Downs location. The role focuses on providing excellent customer service through education, awareness, and customer-focused solutions. The associate assists customers with product information and recommendations based on their physician’s recommendations, verifies customer identification and medical cannabis card status, and dispenses products in accordance with Florida’s Medical Marijuana Use Registry. Training will be provided, and prior medical marijuana or dispensary experience is not required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2 years of prior customer-service experience involving direct patient or customer interaction.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to pass drug testing and a Level 2 Florida State background check.
Nice To Haves
- Customer-service experience in specialty retail, hospitality, or the health and wellness field is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Greet, assist, and provide information and necessary services to customers.
- Verify customer identification and cannabis card status.
- Discuss products and make recommendations based on customers’ physician recommendations.
- Use Florida’s Medical Marijuana Use Registry (MMUR) to dispense products to customers.
- Dispense medication and collect payment through the POS register or upon delivery using approved payment methods.
- Maintain online pickup orders.
