About The Position

The Sales Associate is a commission-eligible position responsible for assisting customers with their shopping needs and providing an exceptional shopping experience. The role requires knowledge of Veronica Beard merchandise and current fashion trends, as well as the ability to represent the brand and its style. The position is based in the East Hampton location. The Sales Associate supports sales generation through customer service, styling, merchandise recommendations, and client development. The role also assists with merchandising, housekeeping, shipment processing, and store operations while following company policies and contributing to a professional, positive, and collaborative work environment.

Requirements

At least 1 year of retail service and selling experience.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
High school education or equivalent.
Basic math skills for purchase and payment transactions and bank deposits.
Strong verbal and communication skills.
Strong observation skills, including awareness of customer and employee behavior, reactions, and the sales floor.
Ability to retain and use information such as names, merchandise details, policies, and procedures.
Knowledge of current fashion trends and styles.
Comfort with being on camera for social media, including still photography and video.

Responsibilities

Assist customers by styling and selling merchandise that meets and exceeds their needs.
Greet customers and provide exceptional service.
Respond to customer needs and follow through.
Consistently achieve selling standards and goals.
Provide merchandise information and current fashion tips to increase sales and customer satisfaction.
Represent the fashion and style of Veronica Beard.
Use the Client Program and book to develop and build a client base that generates sales consistently.
Maintain displays, replenish merchandise on the sales floor, and assist with floor-set execution.
Return merchandise from fitting rooms to the sales floor.
Help maintain the cleanliness of the store and backroom.
Process merchandise shipments as needed.
Replenish merchandise daily so it is represented on the sales floor.
Understand and follow company policies and procedures.
Meet company dependability guidelines, including attendance requirements.
Attend store meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned by store management.
Maintain friendly, positive, and professional conduct and contribute to a climate of mutual trust, respect, and teamwork.
