About The Position

Jet Stop Corporation is seeking a dependable, attentive, and service-oriented part-time Sales Associate to provide fast, friendly service in a clean, safe, and welcoming fuel and convenience store. The role involves working weeknights and every other weekend in a fast-paced environment. On-the-job training will be provided. The Sales Associate assists customers, processes transactions, prepares food, supports inventory activities, stocks merchandise, and helps keep the store and its equipment clean and safe. The employee follows company policies and safety procedures, monitors for hazards, and complies with age-restriction laws when selling regulated products. Requirements

Strong customer-service and communication skills.
Basic math skills and ability to operate a cash register.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and ability to stay alert.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 lbs. for extended periods.
Meet minimum age requirements under state law for selling restricted products such as tobacco and lottery products.
Be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring employer-sponsored work authorization now or in the future.

Nice To Haves

Previous gas station, retail, or customer-service experience is preferred but not required.
High school diploma or GED is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and provide prompt, friendly assistance.
Answer questions about fuel, store products, services, and promotions.
Handle customer concerns professionally and refer issues to management when needed.
Take customer orders, recommend products, and upsell when appropriate.
Operate the POS system to process cash, card, and mobile payments accurately.
Follow cash-handling procedures and help prevent loss or theft.
Prepare and serve food items according to food-safety requirements, company guidelines, and recipes.
Assist the manager with inventory control, including receiving and pricing merchandise and completing vendor delivery paperwork.
Clean and maintain equipment, ensure it is functioning properly, and alert management to issues.
Restock supplies, shelves, coolers, and merchandise displays.
Maintain cleanliness and safety in the kitchen, sales floor, restrooms, and lot.
Follow Jet Stop Corporation safety rules, emergency procedures, and handbook policies.
Monitor for potential hazards and report concerns immediately.
Check IDs to comply with state and local laws for age-restricted products such as alcohol, tobacco, and lottery products.
Maintain a positive, organized workplace and collaborate with coworkers to meet store goals.
