About The Position

A part-time Sales Associate drives sales efforts and customer relationships through strong customer service and selling techniques. The role performs daily store functions, including product merchandising and sales, customer relations, and store maintenance. Its main priorities are customer service, sales, and teamwork.

Requirements

Previous retail or customer-service experience is preferred but not necessary.
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Excellent command of English to communicate effectively with management, customers, and other employees.
Basic fashion and style trend knowledge and a desire to work with customers in a retail setting.
Problem-solving and analytical abilities, attention to detail, flexibility, communication skills, and interpersonal skills to provide excellent customer service, accurate inventory control, merchandise transport, and store maintenance.
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work extended hours during critical project phases and in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility.
Reliable transportation.

Nice To Haves

Previous work experience in retail or customer service.

Responsibilities

Use basic fashion and trend knowledge to identify customer needs, recommend appropriate merchandise, and build customer relationships while maintaining DTLR standards.
Assist with shipments, merchandising, restocking, and pricing.
Provide customers with a positive, energetic, and outgoing impression and maintain a positive, enthusiastic attitude toward the job and company.
Comply with all company policies.
Participate in service training and product programs.
Follow visual standards, complete daily restocking, and maintain adequate size runs according to visual directions.
Assist in preventing employee and customer theft.
Help maintain a neat and orderly sales environment.
Help keep the store organized as directed by store management.
Perform other duties as assigned.
