About The Position

Toy Joy, founded in 1987 and acquired by the Wild About Music retail family in 2017, believes that toys are not just for kids. Their motto is "Think Fun-Chew Well," encouraging shoppers of all ages to think creatively with a playful heart and savor the experience of the store and its curated products. The store offers a wide variety of items including collectibles, Japanese toys, nostalgic toys, plush, STEAM products, figures, books, blind boxes, Gundam, games, puzzles, playsets, and costumes. Toy Joy is an independently owned retail establishment that strives to create a harmonious and safe place for people to work and shop.

Requirements

• Sales experience in a retail or food service environment.
• Love and knowledge of toys, books, games, collectibles and candy.
• Possess a cheery and positive disposition.
• Work and communicate well with all staff.
• Uphold respect for yourself, fellow co-workers and customers.
• Be able to lift and maneuver fixtures and product as necessary.
• Spend Majority of 8 Hr shift on your feet
• Must be able to work 24-28 Hrs/Wk, 3-4 days/Wk.
• Scheduled hours may change weekly but will be a mix of opening/closing shifts between the hours of 10 am and 11 pm.
• Flexible availability is a must.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to all that walk in, greeting each person individually to make them feel welcome.
• Maintain a presentable and clean store.
• Continuously restock merchandise and clean when appropriate.
• Check in and merchandise product as assigned by supervisor on duty.
• Maintain safety standards and health codes and keep walkways clear.
• Have fun and be joyful!
• Create dynamic displays and social media posts.
