About The Position
The Sales Associate serves as a point of contact for customers and helps maximize store profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets. The role involves assisting customers with locating and purchasing merchandise, operating the cash register, stocking and recovering merchandise, cleaning the store, and completing other duties assigned by the Store Manager.
Requirements
- Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
- Understanding of safety policies and practices.
- Ability to read and follow planograms and merchandise presentation guides.
- Knowledge of basic cash-handling procedures.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Ability to perform cash register functions and stock merchandise.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities
- Greet customers, provide excellent customer service, and assist them with merchandise.
- Operate the cash register and scanner to itemize and total purchases, collect payment, make change, bag merchandise, and assist customers as needed.
- Follow company merchandise processes, including unpacking, stocking, restocking, and rotating merchandise on shelves.
- Build merchandise displays and help set up sidewalk displays.
- Clean the store, take out trash, dust and mop floors, and clean the restroom and receiving room.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Store Manager.
